Motherhood

Self Care?

I know that the phrase “self care” is all the rage right now. Get a mani / pedi ?? and “BAZINGA!” you’re all taken care of. I’m going to let you in on something… Mani / pedies are not self care. At least not the kind that will get you any lasting results.

But I’ll share what kinds of self care will bring lasting results, and then I’ll show you how to do it.

Self care sometimes means saying, “no” to something that you would like to do because your body needs to rest or you desperately want to spend a bit of time with your kids. Maybe it means de-cluttering the kitchen so that you feel at ease when you’re cooking. It means nurturing your inner self – maybe even exploring your creativity? It can also mean going for a walk instead of curling up with a book and a sticky bun… (but doesn’t have to…)

Emotional Wellbeing

I’m going to just put this out here. It’s tough for mamas to feel emotionally stable all the time. There’s so much overwhelm with what we feel responsible for, what people expect of us, what we want (if you’re like me you don’t think of what you want as often as you should), and often it all just feels like too much.

I’m not here to tell you that I’m little miss perfect with my act together all the time. In fact, I struggle with anxiety, and so frequently my act isn’t together. I’m often holding it together with spit and duct tape.

But when we can admit to ourselves that we aren’t perfect and that our shiz will fall apart from time to time, then we can get down to the business of learning how to pull it back together.

I would be honored to share and walk along side you…

Motherhood

Motherhood. As women, so many of us are blessed with this ability to grow a life and then guide that tiny human into adulthood. So many of my friends write so beautifully about motherhood and I can’t compete with their talents.

But, if I can share this supremely challenging tests of character, strength, love, endurance, frailty, confusion, and vulnerability known as motherhood, I would be honored to walk with you.
